A public school policy to “encourage kids to try on whatever different identity or pronouns that they want, letting them know that it’s not like they have to live with it forever“ is like leading the witness. This shit is alarming. https://image.nostr.build/440b59bcfd8342be853c78979668e3828b046ebfb954ff4b82f251ec1145da28.jpg
About 90% of parents will comply though Gotta build outside the system
I’d say about 90% of that 90% is just scared of being ostracized if they don’t comply
people should do their best not to ostracize, and they should also do their best to not be afraid of being ostracized. such cultural phenomena allow bullies to become leaders, allows a fear (cowardly) mindset to spread, and also continually lowers “the bar” (for freedom & flourishing). .02 🤗
You guys know right that the US is the only place in the world where this is happening?
Is it though?? I’m honestly not sure
Yes, I am sure. I haven’t heard this happening in any other place, it’s like most things, when your inside, you don’t notice, and sometimes you need an external point of view to bring focus
I don’t want to be disrespectful by any means, but this is a typical US cultural perception, where whatever happens in the US is perceived to be happening all over the world, when in fact, it just happens in the US
I’m pretty sure most people are filtering their opinions and views on where it is they live in the world and not globally, as that is what is most concerning and relevant to their lives
Yeah, I suppose that’s the natural approach for most people, only consider what’s relevant to yourself, at the same time, that is the actual problem, because it creates silos where we think about themselves and not others, this breeds social individuality, which is the exact opposite of what it should be :)
That said, it seems that the UK has passed laws that are opposite to some of the laws here, where they require teachers to let children’s parents know if they are wanting to identify with different pronouns. Thank you for encouraging me to take a look.
I think Americans may act differently if they understood the education system has been and is being used by foreign interest to make our children weak, confused, and dependent on the government.
