@53de482a We once had a case conference. 32? yo Guy obviously had undiagnosed autism. Misread cues, threatened to bomb people if they upset him (zero ability to do so), rigid interests, like almost classic form ASD, out of a book. It took 3 child psychiatrists 5 minutes to consider this and turns out in his records he was diagnosed with Autism age 5.
The adult psychs thought he had schizoaffective disorder and were hammering him w meds the last 10 years.

@46cd5609 Thank you. The last one told me autism was a diagnosis for children and smoking (PRESCRIBED) pot was the core of my problems. I wish I was exaggerating.
@53de482a Yeah thats a Dud. Thats Reagan era 1980s education type shit there. If theyre younger than that, shame on them. Autism, ADHD are part of spectra of neurodevelopmental trajectories and inform all aspects of our central processing.
@53de482a @46cd5609 They get tired and disinterested, but don't want to be without the money and prrstige so they keep going long after they should have stopped.
Youd be better off chatting with someone unqualified but with long life experience, intelligence and sensitivity.
