Prices of homes in a decent area are outrageous. I would need like 15k just to get in the door. Im literally a 9 to 5 working getting minimum wages. So i would save up for years and years to give to a bank to sign a 30 year contract and im 40. I don't see this as a good play.. plus you own anything big you have to pay taxes if not they come after you. Im ok with a big big btc bag and renting years at a time.. eventually to retire maybe but mostly no.  

 Look outside your comfort zone. Use some shitty site like Zillow. Do a full USA search for just homes and put minimum 70k and max 100k into a search filter.
You will be surprised at what to find.
