 Kinda like bitcoin, I went through a period where I wouldn’t shut up about telling everyone I knew about #nostr.

I backed off, because I got the sense people were tired of hearing me talk about it.  

Gonna double down now and talk it up every chance I get.

 I gave up on that years ago for bitcoin and feel similarly about doing it for nostr.

 Also, regarding bitcoin, I'm guessing you were trying to help shield your friends and family from inflation, not really doing it for ngu. 

With nostr I don't see the point of pumping early adoption by normies.. Otoh, early adoption by parties fighting for freedom against censorship, tyranny etc. makes perfect sense.

 I don’t think anyone “hears” a message until it’s been repeated many times over. 

I think you’re correct in promoting a protocol without NGU (which in itself is a self-promoting feature) is very difficult and in the long run, not the way to go.
