This wallet looks to have proton hold and store your passphrase.
BTW I am a visionary member of proton dating back to the go fund me days. And generally love the product…

They are honest in the “Threat Model” sections. READ THIS. (It’s the threat you don’t identify that kills you)
The article is unclear if a wallet with both a seed phrase and pass phrase will need both to be recovered from a non-proton self custody wallet.
