Incorrect. The public school system doesn't claim to selflessly follow a man who sacrificed himself for the good of the world. It's not just about the crime. It's also about the criminal.
Jesus himself (who was a fairly loving guy) stated it would be better for these priests to tie a millstone around their neck and drown themselves in the sea, than to hurt one of his children.....
