The same people who say a 25 year old guy dating a 18 year old is predatory but kids can make their own choices for life altering hormone drugs and surgery is valid. I have a theory they introduce totally conflicting worldviews that these people force themselves to accept as a mindbreak/dissociative tactic.

 At least part of it is that the official dogma changes every two weeks, and when people have no clue what's actually going on they just defer to what they're told. 

 I know it's cliche, but the way the current thing changes and often contradicts itself week-to-week and month-to-month is a tactic for manipulating the masses taken straight out of 1984.
