Monero zaps live on RebelNet! Here’s how it works: https://rebelnet.me/news/0xe037eaa0a7d252c9a9 DM me your XMR address and npub.
Wasn't there a bounty for this since more than 1 year ago?
Anarkio made a web-based client prototype. Works, but isn't fully complete: https://anarkio.codeberg.page/nostril/ There is an android app that *should* be out in 2-4 weeks: https://bounties.monero.social/posts/94/32-349m-nostr-client-for-monero
Is there a way to verify that a "monero zap" actually happened, or is it like LN zaps which are totally trust-based and can be easily spoofed?
Good question 🤔 I'm not sure @SimplifiedPrivacy.com Podcast is this possible to do in a trustless way?
@sommerfeld @SaberhagenTheNameless The first question is what Monero we’re talking about, because there’s huge changes coming down the pipeline, I even heard “full membership proofs” discussed and layer 2 possibility from a few different speakers on Monero Talk podcasts and Matrix rooms. There’s a couple ways it could be made trustless, but our group is not doing them. Way 1) The server is running a Node and sees the tx. We’re not doing this because I’m not the only one running a server, this will have random people also running it that may or may not federate. So then Chainalysis would run them too. They’d see a 1 in 16 chance, but with full membership proofs it could be trustless. Way 2) zkProofs We’re not doing this because you’d need an engineer that exceeds what I’m willing to pay to entertain random fucks for free Way 3) When they do layer 2 in a year, the guy running L2 can run this as the node in way 1. Which won’t be me for legal reasons
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Wait...wtf is rebel net ?
RebelNet.me is an instance of DegenRocket’s Spasm, a federated multi-key protocol, please see the link for more info
Awesome
Will you be open sourcing your server side key/payment address setup ?
Yes of course, it’s federated so if you run it, link up with us. Here’s our front-end: https://git.simplifiedprivacy.is/publicgroup/degenrocket/-/tree/Joel-Monero-Address-Addition The back end is on DegenRocket’s github on rebelnet.me
