I think you’re misunderstanding what I was saying…. Imagine a being, non human, or human with some new found intelligence and the ability to scan photons and absorb information via light.
Imagine You are sitting on a planet, looking through a telescope and see a planet 1000 light years away…. Therefore you are seeing the planet as it was 1000 years ago. Then you accelerate through the light of that planet at a speed beyond the speed of light.. as you get closer you would be receiving the light from 999 light years, 998, 990, 900, 800 (the planet as it was 800 years ago) and so on…. As you travel you would be reading the planets light from 1000 years ago to present day when you arrived and if you were capable of transferring information with photons you would have absorbed much of the planets knowledge on your trip.
And yes.. this is not possible by anyone on earth and probably never will be
This would be extraordinarily m, exhaustively emotional, unless one’s ability to scan photons suspended one’s emotional responses.
I think of it more as a chore. Some otherworldly being’s job.. scanning non stop.. they don’t actually absorb the information.. the information is simply available in the collective conscious of all things, but by being tuned to those specific photons, they have access to it. Life is everywhere, they know that and aren’t interested in any specific civilizations. they are simply scanning planetary history’s for some type of interstellar log.
Idk why I’m even saying these things.. it’s just what I’ve been thinking about
Interesting posit. Why not? The Book of Life is a sort of the same concept. The scales of justice for every soul; surely a device exists for planets and other entities.
The thing is, they can go in opposite way of the planet and capture all the 5billion years of knowledge.
Ooooo! What a thought treasure! To know all the knowable things!
