If Trump were to announce a Bitcoin strategic reserve, they don't even need to buy bitcoin to implement it. They can set one up & transfer the current ~$8B in Bitcoin seized by government to the reserve
You mean the bitcoin that was stolen from Bitfinex and confiscated by the govt. Don't quote me but I think that is why they haven't been able to dump it. Perhaps they should return the stolen funds?
A hack is different in my view from proceeds of crime - I should have clarified. Hacked funds should be returned, but proceeds of crime (eg Silk Road) are better off being held on to in Bitcoin than being sold off like Germany did
