Oddbean new post about login | logout i’m pretty neutral on the guy tbh. u have thoughts about his being in spain? if he knew he had a big tax tab - which i believe he did - it feels irresponsible to be hanging out where you can be easily extradited. He will be able to pay and walk away tho - but it’s gonna be a big bill.
I'm a rational person, so of course I can look at this situation and agree he made a lot of dumb decisions. You need to put your personal beliefs aside when dealing with the US gov. Pay them or go to jail is the reality, as much as that sucks. I agree, he'll probably end up paying a lot of money to them and serve no time, unless he decides to fight this (which he may do). We'll see what happens.
