I'm not so sure about your claim that fleshers will be necessary. Seems to me that digitized humans ought to be able to project their will into meatspace by controlling robots / network connected machines. 

 I guess it depends how it all unfolds. We likely won't be around to say "I told you so" one way or the other haha
