 So even if an account is public, they still have to follow the bridge in order for this to work? Is there a technical reason for that, or are you being nice? :-)

 That's correct! It's not us being nice, though, it's  @Bridgy Fed for Bluesky. They chose to be opt-in-only to be polite. 

We, on the other hand, do not care. 😃
