At the base of the system is personal land ownership. 
By policing reproduction (ie, women), religion certifies land will be inherited by the genetic offspring of the male landowners, and for this certification, religion is given funding.
All forms of armed policing exist to protect land ownership.

 @c8565328 The Ken Burns documentary “The U.S. and the Holocaust” was pretty eye-opening to me. Some of the Nazi's ideas came from how the U.S. treated black people. 
 @c8565328 I like your toot. I find myself thinking the US version of Guardian is covering the state of our democracy in a more complete way than our own newspapers. And i feel sad about this.
