 @603773e5 @47962f8a He didn’t get paid by the US to put up Starlink initially. The US military *is* paying SpaceX to develop a military version of Starlink, but that’s not deployed yet, and not what’s in use in Ukraine.

 @cbe08add @603773e5 They did grant licenses to put all that space junk up in low earth orbit, effectively giving away humanity's orbital space to a capricious billionaire. The US government needs to wake the hell up. This does not end well.
