I get that companies like Space X and Tesla have Bitcoin as a treasury asset. They also manufacture tangible things that provide economic value.

I still struggle to see what Microstrategy does and how them selling paper to acquire more Bitcoin brings any economic value. Something eventually breaks with this model.
Ya micro strategy feels like a pure speculative play based on nothing other than their bitcoin holdings. But it feels super risky because they could get rugged by big G. But I know nothing …
But the Bitcoin they own is already unruggeable, isn't it?

The way I see it they're just playing the current game with the current rules but using Bitcoin as a twist. I mean, what's the real difference between what they're doing and a company like Apple, Microsoft, or any of those big public companies leveraging all their power for ultra cheap capital in all its forms?

The difference is with Bitcoin we now have a way to actually quantify the value of something. With Microsoft and others, how can we really value what they're doing? I mean, for real? And in that sense, who's really speculating, Microsoft, Apple et all or Microstrategy, that we can transparently know exactly how much Bitcoin they have, including per share, etc, etc?

I understand the concern though of course :) and it's a very important perspective
Do they custody it? No. Then it’s ruggable.

Yes you can put value on Microsoft and apple they have actual revenue and brands and products. What does micro strategy have other than an IOU?
It seems like they custody it through Fidelity Custody, Coinbase Pro and others.

I would say in all honesty that I think it's not nearly as easy/trivial to confiscate Bitcoin as it is with current fiat, so the question of being ruggeable is pretty nuanced.

In my opinion I think it's pretty incredible and ingenious what MicroStrategy is doing. They're playing the game at its fullest form, transparently and ethically, in my view. And it is incredibly useful for everyone, especially in the mid and long term.

Because, and to go back to your point, the question is, what is the real value of Apple and/or Microsoft?

How much money of Microsoft is because of government contracts?
And isn't Apple in reality just smartphones for middle class and wealthy people in the Western world?

I would say Google and Nvidia are pretty valuable but I have no idea of how much because we don't really have a hard currency.

I think these things are much more nuanced than we think is what I'm trying to say.

But I completely understand and agree with your points, there all very valid concerns of course. Let's see what happens :)
 Yeah the dollar 😝

I’m not going to defend Saylor, but if look at what he’s doing it’s similar to what George Soros did in the early 90s

I guess it could be. Time will tell
I think the writing is on the wall look at the purchasing power of the dollar it’s getting obliterated, saylor and fink are accelerating the collapse of the dollar in real time.
