I think the only thing Unity has united at this point is Game Devs using Godot
casinos have been the main economical supporters of godot for the last 5 or so years, the creator of godot loves to say that he is the reason unity has lost about 100,000,000 dollars in possible revenue from casinos every year.

One of the main problems with Godot is GDScript. I would have thought after the disaster that was UnrealScript, that people would have learned that single-program specific scripting languages suck but apparently we all have to learn janky, unfinished, homebrew Python variant #3258 in order to make video games now.
@Living Space Studios @Disinformation Expert Aether
It supports C# now, like Unity. (which also started with it's own scripting language way back then, before moving to C#. All roads lead to C#! JAVA CHUMPS BTFO)
It barely supports C#. The most recent release I tried wasn't even functional as far as C# goes. Also the devs of Godot have made it very clear that GDScript is going to get prioritised over any other language, which is a huge mistake IMO. Nobody wants to use Python, let alone fake, homebrew Python that's not even compatible with any of the projects or libraries made in actual Python.

oh that sucks. Haven't touched godot myself, only heard second hand info about it.
