I am not a climate change denier. I’m just not a climate change catastrophist. I’m also a systems expert, and I well understand the risks of making drastic untested changes to complex systems.
 Nicely put!
What is the drastic untested change?
NetZero is a drastic untested change. Dumping massive subsidies into poorly understood technologies that unfriendly governments could throttle is also a drastic untested change. There are many others.

It's perhaps a little worse than that. It's the Trojan Horse by which the banks|gov|media throw all of us into slavery. Have you heard the news from the UK? They can now slam you in jail if you do not comply with their random net-zero policies.
The Nazi had the same in the 30s.

Ideas have people. Not the other way around.
The politicians leading the climate charge are too dumb to understand complexity. On the other hand, they are smart enough to run the grift.
Well said. You’ve highlighted many great thinkers on this matter.

Another important thing to note is that there’s a whole bunch of climate models out there. Some track reality pretty well, and others are wildly inconsistent and massively over predict warming. Unfortunately the most inaccurate/alarmist models tend to be the ones highlighted by politicians, the media, and activists for power and profit. Incentives matter, and unfortunately there’s a big incentive to be maximally biased in the other direction.

This all just makes it that much harder to do good science.
 Greetings uncle
