Yes😕. I will never ever forget the day he died. I watched the start of The GP at Imola then took my dog for a walk. When I got back I turned the TV back on. It was so long ago that when you turned your TV back on, the picture didn't come back on immediately, took maybe a second or two, but when I turned it back on there was no sound, you always got the sound before the pictures but no sound. No screaming loud racing engines. *That's odd🤔* Complete quiet. The picture then came on the screen. There was a helicopter in the middle of the track. *Shit, there's been a crash, a bad one*......OMG, it's Senna, in The Williams. The race carried on, Schumacher won, from what I remember. I then went to a family BBQ a few miles away. Hours later, the news came through that Ayrton Senna had died, I was 15 at the time I think, but fuck me, that hit me hard, still does. I could tell you lots and lots about that man but there's no need, his legacy and skill speaks for itself. Fuck me, I don't think I've ever written a note this long on #Nostr. The tears are still streaming down my face as I write this. Yes, I am an emotional idiot. R.I P. Ayrton Senna.
 I'm with you, man. 🫂

I watched it all live on TV back then. Truly tragic. Especially on top of the other crashes that weekend, and the death of Ratzenberger.

I blame the Opel Vectra safety car.
