You should think about why they aren't, because the election is over so it's no longer election interference. Why would they supress this? My guess is they want to minimize the risk of retaliation against the West. Less Russians get into an uproar when less people know about it. Especially few people know that the US is involved in operating the ATACMS (and the Ukrainians couldn't use them effectively without US involvement). For the same reason IMHO. Russian intelligence knows what is going on. They have considered themselves at war (under some definition of that term) with NATO since around 2008 or before... with proxy wars playing out all over the Middle East. Escalation decisions aren't made on the basis of "are they at war with us under some strict definition?" they are made on the basis of utility. Rhetoric for the public is just that... but also some signalling is done within it (much signalling has to be done via military actions though since the parties don't trust each other).

i think they're just buying themselves time to decide how they want to spin it. because if you look back at any historical event whether it is Holocaust or 9/11 or October 7 eventually the narrative is adopted that is nothing like what actually happened. and the story changes rapidly at first until eventually everybody settles on some lie that becomes accepted as the truth. like when the 1st hospital in the current phase of Gaza genocide was bombed killing 500 people, mostly women and children, Israel first said "there was Hamas base under that hospital" but there was immediate backlash from International Community then Israel said "akshully we didn't bomb them, they bombed themselves" and that became accepted as the truth, and then after everybody calmed down Israel started to slowly ramp up bombing Hospitals again ... or on 9/11 when they first reported the collapse of Building 7 before it happened on live TV and then eventually they decided that building 7 never existed in the first place and it was never mentioned in the official 9/11 commission report these first reports that come out before the media decides on what the narrative should be always come back to bite them in the ass because they always end up changing the story later so they are getting smarter now and simply keep their mouth shut until they get the official word on what the story is supposed to be ...
