 Unixtime is almost this, except that unixtime replays some seconds (the leap seconds).

For example it’s 6am here now and 10 pm on the other side of the world. Who gets the traditional ’daylight’ times? 

 There is no mapping to hours and minutes.  Those things are abandoned.  I said "metric".  One day sunrise is 1730251233 the next day it is 1730337648.  You then put that into your own local mapping to local hours/minutes if you can't let go of the past, or just to an sunangle if you can.

currently the powers that be are trying to move humanity to 4 day work week but my idea is to end weekdays and simply work on odd or even days ( two shifts )

this will double road capacity for traffic since people would only work on alternating days

but when i tell people about this they are too stupid to see the benefit

their IQs are so low they literally can only understand "all i think about on friday is going home so i want to have friday off"
