 I listened to much of the first episode and I think he really get into the shoes of the people whose story he tells. I was very impressed. I don't recall anything he said being wrong, but he did certainly defer counterarguments when he was telling it from the side of the Jews.

But I haven't listened to the whole long thing yet.  Thanks for reminding me.

It will truely be only historical though, he doesn't go beyond 1949. And the recent events are far more interesting to me. 
 I’m finishing up episode 2 on my re listen, a year after first listening, following the hamas attack last year.

His history telling is enlightening and honoring of human beings on “all sides”. 

The Zionist conflict is complicated … and messy… and really has brought out the worst in humanity.
