 yeah, idk who does nostr.build, i suspect i don't like them very much but i have a 10gb/1 year subscription and neither #coracle nor #nostrudel actually use NIP-96 so when i upload via the client it appears on my account

this is another one of the many red flags to me that outbox model NIP-65 and NIP-42 need a lot more attention

yes, escalating my activism about this now... NIP-65 and NIP-42 are now my constant drone...

implement them you fags!
 wait, NIP-65, NIP-42 and NIP-96, in that order of precedence

NIP-65 is critical for relay devs, NIP-42 is critical for payment and accounting/control of access, and NIP-96 needs NIP-42, probably isn't being specified well enough - to let you auth to a media host to push your content and have it associated with your identity and appear in your account page and count to your usage
 this is very cool but does damus actually support NIP-65 and NIP-42?

the former is critical so that relays can be tested, and as a relay dev this is my number one priority always so i am going to start repeating this all the time

the latter is critical, and the NIP-96 hosting system has to support it to as this enables it to be internet-routeable addresses without worrying about having your VPS storage clogged with spammy shit to fuck with you
 Yes on 42
 pls get 65 going then... and the moment you have released damus on android i'm going to use it routinely as my test rig and how do i donate to dev for this?
 Zap Will, or place a bounty on damus android github issue
 you know that right now his lightning chan is broken

also, just saying but... zap splits on damus android would greatly help you stay independent
 We were just starting to test zap splits when apple rugged damus.

It’s worth trying again
 @mleku can I get your 👀🧠 on https://github.com/nostr-protocol/nips/pull/1098
 there may be details i don't see on first glance but this is a great idea for reducing the centralization of storage, it actually helps paid storage servers because if a file is on a free service they won't get so many requests for it... and it doesn't push anyone to any protocol or service

bravo... gonna zap for this
