44 new followers in a day. What’s going on? The fiat mines it taking all my time and I’m not liking it!
NSA bots, surveillance!
Someone's been creating spam accounts and following people with them. I have a bunch that followed me too, as do most of us. Not sure why, it could be someone testing their ability to generate a crowd, so that they may sell that "service" in future.
Btw, yesterday, I added your relay and three others suggested by kidwarp… and today… ALL of them were gone from my list of relays AND so I added them back… and yet notes that I post still do not list them in the popup notification. That’s weird….
That's weird, which client are you using?
I’m using Iris dot to in a browser. And it’s not really weird. I’m one of the most banned ppl ever on the internet.
Try using the nos2x-fox browser extension (assuming you're using Firefox). It's a safer way to log in since you no longer have to c/p your secure key into the site, and you can also save your preferred relays in it so it will always send those to the client whenever you log in. I don't think it's malicious, it's probably just Iris being a buggy client. Especially if you clear your cache/cookies often, it will lose any settings you entered, such as the relays you added.
Yes, I agree / it’s def statistically safer to trust one extension rather than popping my key in to all of the many nostr apps that I’d like to try out. Also think you’re correct about what may have caused the issue as I do often clear the cache/cookies, etc. Thanks for the knowledge/help. 👍
