 Tidal spent years pushing a scam (MQA) and the interface was a terrible experience (subjective, but I hated it). 

The only music service I hated more was YouTube Music. I still use Spotify and Apple Music. Spotify for discovery (which is excellent) and Apple Music when I have my DAC and fancy headphones out (for lossless or Dolby Atmos) 

Don’t buy the snake oil or be shamed out of using what works for you, and you can afford.
