Whats the main manner of keeping a thing you're welding perpendicular while welding it?  Is there something special you do?  Some kind of special brace? 

 For this part, the tubes have tabs and plates have slots. I tack the corners of the tube, ensuring it stays flush. Pretty easy, honestly.  

 Cool, does the melted metal expand or contract at all while it cools in any meaningful way?
