They have been on that island off the coast of LA for what (?) 100 years or something, and are the real deal. I love Cholula too, and I am hangin’ w/ my homies on Alabama Wildfire. FSR, Tabasco has a “green” taste like jalapeno to me, where Louisiana HS, Alabama WF, and Cholula all taste more ripe, Cayenne pepper flavor to me. I am fonder of a smokier pepper than a green one.
Founded by Edmund McIlhenny in 1868 on Avery Island, Louisiana! Recipe hasn't really changed in over 150 years. Aged for 3 years in white oak barrels. Low time preference stuff 😉
