 I have heard that 8 days is the recommended maximum for saving them for incubating. That is stored at room temperature. I'm sure you can go longer but the hatch rate starts to drop off.  
 I’ll find out! 
 What tip I found, that I think helped with my last batch was to match sure you rotate/move the eggs twice a day while storing them before incubation.  I did this by placing the eggs in a carton and then elevating once side of the carton and alternating the elevated side every 12 hours.  The idea is you don't want to give the yolk a chance to stick to the shell.
