Imagine having that much money just for a domain, I could use that to pay all of my current contributors for a few years… instead I am just losing contributors slowly due to lack of funding and denied grants. Sigh.
Sorry brother. I have faith though.
I still find it incredible there are grants at all for nostr. very non-standard for oss. though it’s a shame they’re going to dime a dozen, proof of concept webapps. your work tends to focus on the harder problems and I appreciate that. best of luck on your journey.
yeah i was going to do VC before grants, starting to look like I may still have to since you can’t build a proper team on grants.
look outside the bitcoin space for VCs. unless you want to be bought out by the same people that sell insecure and overpriced gimmick HWWs and use podcasts/influencers to exploit bitcoiners and the people that made primal, which is falling apart on a technical level as they struggle to scale (they had to last-minute change to PostgreSQL, for example)
Thank you for calling this out. There are definitely 2 tiers of Bitcoin VC, and then there’s real VC. Avoid the Bitcoin podcasting thinkbois—terrible. Real VCs back good ideas & business models, and they don’t force shitcoins on you. That’s a myth. Crypto VCs do that and only a fool approaches them.
Even less so as public enemy numero @Uno in the land of eternal timelessness. 😭 https://image.nostr.build/8059b5f56403058ad324c6c25f6860128f061dd68f8390d3a6479fc02ee30d26.jpg
you dont get funding? that surprises me! but i also wouldnt sell it to shitcoiners
What kind of grants do you look at/look for? Trying to think creatively, how would #nostr be valuable for a public entity with funds, setting up an open access network🤔
