This only affected free tier uploads, everything else was unaffected 🐶🐾🫡 nostr:note1alk97mj2fjcdlvz4jvvple44pzh0rwzvw6hh3vawvtr3u2ty9jxse80z32

@fishcake @nostr.build Free tier uploads seems to still be experiencing issues. Tried multiple times. File was a jpg less than a mb, uploaded fine to pro account. https://i.nostr.build/q6row.jpg
Looking into it..
Awesome thx :)
Should be OK now. Not sure if Fishcake explained. AWS updated our MySQL DB a couple days ago. Ever since we’ve been having lock wait timeout on our ‘free’ db table… Reboot temporarily fixes it. I opened a technical support case with AWS this morning, stay tuned…
Ah, okay. Thanks for the heads up, quick response, and awesome service ofc 🫂💜
We’ve been getting increased traffic, working on a few things and AWS doing weird upgrades all at once….. All good just a growing pain, or two 😁
Out of curiosity, why use AWS instead of one of the decentralized S3 offerings like IPFS, filebase.com or Storj.io ?
Many reasons that I talked about before. One being cost (5-10x more expensive), performance (super slow unless paying even more for CF gateway service), security, reliability. And we are not using S3 to serve content (too slow) but CDN with other storage backend 🐶🐾🫡
