Well think of it like this. If you spend a million dollars destroying a company that competes with a company you have another million dollars in, you lose a million dollars sure, but you stand to gain even more when all those customers flood into the other company, which can jack up its prices and make even more profit. and that's before you even get into the stock market stuff.
