Now for something completely different. This is a wonderful video everyone should watch, with this following thought in mind. DNA ancestry tests such as 23andMe or others can tell you a lot about how much DNA you share with people living in different parts of the world TODAY, but it's not super reliable for tracing long-term ancestry. It's also a good reminder that all DNA-based racist ideas that celebrate particular ancestries are 100% bullshit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HclD2E_3rhI #Genetics #Biology
Just listened to David Reich on the Dwarkesh Patel podcast. Weird to think that your “ancestry” is largely based on the arbitrary comparison to a certain number of generations back. We are all related in the end.
