@LostInCalifornia as I say though it chimes true to the underclass other places, even those with no interest in Trump. This keeps it traveling. We are treated as expendable. (I say we, because although I'm warm, dry, fed, and not in debt, I have unmet needs and as a disabled woman feel fear of govt policies)

As for the stopping volunteers, some untrained guy with a tractor wanting to pull trees, I can see him not understanding the order if things and getting in the way, bit like Musk and his bloody submarine. 

 There is an entire network of volunteers in place. FEMA has a link on their website.

If you want to volunteer, FEMA isn't stopping you. Your efforts need to be coordinated or you end up working against recovery rather than for.

HAS NO ONE ELSE BEEN THROUGH A DISASTER BEFORE?

 @LostInCalifornia Grenfell fire. People died because of institutional mistakes, and actual neglect, it just brings out the "sounds about right" in the people at the bottom, emotional response to someone saying it's happening again somewhere else.
