Which data do people have in mind when they talk about vaccine harms? The data I’ve looked at had adverse effects at very small percentages, in line with average occurrence of any vaccine.

All I ever see on nostr is a headline of someone dropping dead from heart failure and blood clots but they fail to mention any actual studies that explain what’s happening.

It’s lazy and annoying at the same time.
I don't think this is a common as people make it out to be, however a lot of people reportedly have had problems, I never was vaccinated here either dispite the US government pushing it very hard.
The problem is with “a lot of people”. This means nothing. If tour sample size is 1000 people and 50 drop dead that’s a big deal. But if your sample is a million people then 50 doesn’t sound all that uncommon. Same number, different percentage. Terrible that anyone dies? Yes. But something to be terrified about? Probably not.
Yeah, I would however say a lot of people have reported negative health affects but not death, you also have to consider why would a government push and fund it so much? We already know they don't like us. It's a difficult situation and hard to to know I guess.
 There’s that phrase again 🤣
 What phrase? 😂
 A lot of people
Lol a lot have thought if you look at an accurate report.
Statistics, and the impact of significance levels, normally distributed sample sizes, sampling method, and qualitative vs quantitative data are frequently ignored/overlooked/misunderstood. Then sensationalism takes over.
I think this was the case with Covid vax adverse effects. I looked at one of the big studies and the numbers were not nearly as bad as some armchair experts made them out to be on Twitter. They didn’t understand what they were reading 🤦‍♂️

I’m not for or against anything, but I do like to look at data.
Yep, same here. Stuff was often cherry picked/skewed to fit a narrative - from both sides too. I’m not going to dwell on it though. Entered too many heated debates over the last 4 years with armchair experts with zero data/ scientific backgrounds.
Exactly. Same reason I never respond to vax notes. No point really.
Yep it will ruin your day. Stack sats instead.
What's different with COVID vaccine is that hundreds of millions have been vaccinated, so obviously even if the percentage of side effects is tiny, many many individuals will be affected. Many of the statistically less competent people are picking those numbers to show us how terribly the government acted. They leave aside the optionality: how many more people would have died or would have had serious side effects from the disease if the vaccine hadn't been rolled out? There is little rigor applied except for the rigorous calls against government intervention (which I support in general).
lol i'm sorry you find what the cab driver said to me lazy and annoying, i'll let him know
That’s not what I said. I’m talking about people drawing conclusions without looking at the data or misinterpretation the data as I’ve seen on Twitter.
I don't really have an opinion on that, it was just an observation of small talk with normies. 🧡
I imagine that cab driver was forced to be vaccinated to work. I’d be mad too, even if I was not antivax. People’s choices were taken away and that’s what I see as the biggest wrongdoing.
of course! I totally agree with that. we all witnessed that, hence not taking it was a principled stand despite unprecedented levels of government coercion. so, really. to call me lucky reminds me a bit of the bitcoin meme where we're called lucky for being in bitcoin so early. it's not luck. it's values and principles.
 Agree.
I see correlation between vaccines and health issues but no such causality. Sedentary lifestyle after lockdowns are the main causality imo.
It’s because I’m surrounded by it. Friends with a heart attack after jab , one stage 4 then dead, nerve issues, several with bad shingles
*One friend with heart attack after jab
There are a few studies listed here in the article, maybe that’s of interest . "Astrazeneca vaccination : According to this, significantly more cases of Guillain-Barré syndrome , acute disseminated encephalomyelitis and transverse myelitis occurred“. Etc. The article says : side effects rare , but proven and recognised by studies. https://amp.focus.de/gesundheit/news/99-millionen-probanden-grosse-studie-identifiziert-die-haeufigsten-nebenwirkungen-der-corona-impfung_id_259695927.html
