Also makes one wonder: perhaps the woman DID want to euthanize her dog, and just needed an external voice to tell her it was OK…

OR… people are so incapable of making difficult decisions on their own that they will relinquish their agency quite easily, even if they do not like the outcome.

 From the dogs perspective this was basically the Stanford prison experiment but real and administered by robots.

Terrifying. 

 Yeah imagine if that dog was her depressed son and she lived in Canada… 

 Yeah.  What if her "dog" was code for Husband? 

 I'm not entirely sure I can read, I think I might have just memorized what a bunch of words look like. 

 Guy told me this story of his dog getting old and having cancer. He was a vegetarian himself, but figured he let the dog go out in style. So he fed him steaks for dinner. The dog ended up eating the cancer off his own leg and ended up living two more years.

 Most people listen to anyone or anything advise rather than making the decision themself. 
It requires less brain power and you have someone to blame after other than yourself.  
It shows that online  communication can affect people as much. 
Also, the CEO don’t give a crap about the woman.

 wow. literally gobsmacked about the lady's behaviour, but also about how much dilution of responsability this entails.  

 One of the many dark sides of what’s to come with AI, imo. It’s a corporate execs dream to manipulate behavior. 

 👀🤡🌎 What’s really fucked is that the CEO, with a possibly staged, but certainly foreseen question, chose that as his shining example. AI 🪤 is just shining heavy light on the pre-existing fact that we are so fucked as a species. 

 AI will just pick us off one by one, until the few remaining will think, "hey where did everybody go?"

 The dog probably just needed some nutrition... I've never understood euthenasia... Why not die at 0%?  There's always the possibility that someone would have the guts to plug you back in... It's the damn fiat decisions being made on fiat currency that impoverish all of us... If only we had fiat money... Make it so!
