 But is there like a lot of content for it? I was struggling to find films to show off his new tv to him. Lawrence of Arabia still looks the best. 

 Lol I can always see the difference and it's drastic between different resolutions and different refresh rates, nothing is overkill and the more the better. I don't even have that good eyesight and I can obviously see the difference so it shocks me when people say it doesn't matter 😂 

 Perhaps it's a placebo effect. Mind needs something to justify the price.
