Why does Ten31 invest in MIT licensed projects? Do you not see the code at risk of becoming proprietary?

We believe an MIT license does not restrict you from having a successful business or investment.
How do you see GPLv3 restricting you from having a successful business or investment? If the software is not proprietary, why does it matter?
None of them necessarily restrict you. It’s a choice the developers and companies need to make for themselves. There are certainly lots of merits to going the open source route, but considerations on the flip side as well.
Can the critical tools in the fight for and defense of freedom be proprietary or must they be open source?
