Five years ago today, Jamal Khashoggi, a Saudi columnist for the Washington Post and an outspoken critic of the Saudi government and the royal family, was murdered by his own government in Istanbul, Turkey. Following investigations, the CIA concluded that crown prince Mohammed bin Salman ordered the assassination.
