I feel the same. Responses are the best, likes are just as good as zaps. It's only due to the fact that Bitcoin is the first programmable internet money that zaps are cool. But putting money and social media together is basically Venmo which i actually dislike very much seeing how friends' split checks and things. It's just so bizarre. I thought zaps were good on here to just prove one isn't a bot. But I almost wish my likes and replies could automatically carry some small zap that would just identify as real.

as i see it, zaps are just a harbinger of actual business web of trust, and reactions are much more important to social relevance and receiving a sense of being valued i find it funny, because i remember you and stella as two of the most important blatherers that i wanted to read the blatherations of and it won't stop being that way, i love you two real measures of "karma" don't have a monetary feature to them, they are literally about engagement and things that even a modern AI would hard pressed be able to recognise

that's funny you say that, because i feel the same way about the two of you. i couldn't make sense of Nostr until I saw a campfire burning of Stella's conversations with the Grumpy Cat and then it was magical. Stella seems character from a Jane Austen novel moonlighting on technical projects in another century, and you seem like a reincarnation of the mad hatter. and the rest of us are just Alices stumbling through the worlds ya'll are creating.
