 @313d0358 I’ve always shot for ~30% foreign though I have no idea what I’m doing 🤷🏼‍♂️🤣🤣 this is the Roth.. the 401k is ~26% rn though the picture doesn’t separate foreign and domestic.. the idea was 20/80 bonds/stocks with 20/30/50 bonds/foreign/domestic.. sounded good in my head 🤷🏼‍♂️🤣

I'd imagine that's a good allocation. I've been pretty poorly allocated abroad, ~5% currently, but I'm going to adjust to about 10% - 15% or so. Mostly Asia though, I think they're the most worthwhile economies outside of the US.
 @313d0358 I figured eggs everywhere! 🤣🤷🏼‍♂️  I’m up only 9.5% 401k and 12.1% Roth for ytd

The MSCI EAFE didn't do too bad the last year, with all the bad talk about EU and China... seems like it was all BS
 @f43a2aa2 @313d0358
The NS1 and 2 pipeline destroyed... terrible winter etc. everything will collapse, but it didn't. Even now you hear how China is hurting, makes you want to think the opposite.

Given this is the retirement account, I'm thinking more along the 10+ yr horizon.

When I say Asia I mainly mean South Korea, Indonesia, India, and Japan. Currently own ETF exposure to these specifically, but I will likely shift it to a more broad ETF as INDA and EWJ have been solid performers in the past year.
 @313d0358 @f43a2aa2
yea the Far East doesn't look like it's hurting, actually looks pretty good. I don't understand the EU, or Australia.
 @313d0358 @f43a2aa2
Africa and South America, Canada... can suck it... I don't trust any of those
 @313d0358 @f43a2aa2
Raytheon , is on the Brazil exchange? i thought they made war machine stuff, looks like it dipping hard.
 @0af78396 @f43a2aa2

RTX is traded on the NYSE, but yeah it's gotten crushed. Unsure why, probably some news. I used to have a nice allocation to some defensive names back in 2022, but haven't touched them since late 2022. Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Raytheon mainly.
 @313d0358 @f43a2aa2
thanx, NYSE sounds right. I think the site I go to doesn't list the proper exchanges that the stocks are on, I need to find another one. this is shady.
 @313d0358 @f43a2aa2
You have to know symbol, if you type in Raytheon it only shows brazil... but using the symbol RTX it comes up.
