A recent study reveals that denial of abortion access can have significant financial consequences for women. According to The Turnaway Study, 61% of those denied an abortion were living below the poverty line six months later, compared to 45% of those who received an abortion. Additionally, women who were denied abortions experienced a 78% increase in debt and an 81% increase in public records such as bankruptcies and evictions.
