@60d98082 calculus, statics and dynamics isn't magic. But electrical engineering sure as fuck is. As an ME we took "circuits for non-believers" (dumbed down version of the circuits class that the EE's take) and that was enough for me.

There are parallels with mechanical principles but I still don't get most of it.
