Anyone use different profiles on #GrapheneOS ? If so, what are your use cases? #askNostr #privacy
I have one for my daily apps, another for bitcoin apps, and 1 with non privacy / normie looking apps for crossing borders.

The last one probably overkill, but it's there should I need it
Don't you think a border controler that would want to check you phone would know about profiles and might ask you to unlock the other ones as well?
Sure, they could know about it. It would still be my preferred option to unlock it, and be logged in to that profile than the others.

It's not a fail-safe method. Realistically, border officer will look at your ID, travel docs and quick glance at phone perhaps.
Interesting. My proffered method until now has always been simply turn the phone off. Haven't been asked to turn it on yet
The main profile when you boot the phone is a generic one with a bunch of random web history and data poisened contacts, logins savedtlo cloud accounts I don't use etc.

I also have the account I actually use all the time, and a seperate crypto wallet profile
I like the idea of a 'dummy' profile being the default boot optiom.

Doesn't the main profile have "administrator access" (for lack of a better term) to all other profiles though?
There are a number of uses for multiple profiles.

One use is to have a different VPN configuration for different profiles depending on what is needed for an app.
I like this idea! If you have purchased a static IP address from a provider for banking purposes, you could install those apps and that VPN in a different profile to just be a tap away!
Yes primarily for Play Services however I make and delete adhoc users when needed for various things.
