Honestly though, I think this app is probably being used to come up with more precise and 'personalized' info on you. 
All so they can sell you more shit, which you don't need, scattering your digital landscape with adverts. 

 Also I remember reading/hearing somewhere a few months back that AI chatbots used for vitual dating/girlfriends was the #1 reason for AI. 

This might be furthering that line of... fuck I don't want to call it insane but neither do I want to call it.. sane.
