You've completely misunderstood the point of my post. It doesn't even slightly suggest that Bitcoin isn't for casual people, or for tons of people who just wants services that cant be provided any other way. The the contrary, the fact that it is open to everyone is exactly why we need a strong subset of bitcoiners to run nodes, hash, and defend the network.

 I think I misunderstood you because the words you used in your post did not convey your full meaning. 

If you read it at face value, I think you'd see where people who immediately feel like they were not true believers if they didn't do x y z.  

 Nah that's not what i meant at all, rather than "true believers need to be the ones who take the next step" and not leave it up to others. Not that it was a purity test or something 🤣

I see now how it kinda reads that way though. Poor wording on my part. 

 yeah, I agree. it's important to advance Bitcoin is one's own way. Everyone's next step is different. Not just mining.
