first of all, i don't think it needs to open up a pop-up at all when selecting it

i like to see what's going on in the feed when i'm posting something on desktop 🤔

secondly, there's way too much clutter, which i'd love to play around with on figma 

 yeah would love to see what you come up with. The modals are supposed to have transparency on them, but seems they dont..
