"We write to express our grave concerns regarding the U.S. Department of Justice's (DOJ) recent policy arguments that dramatically expand the scope of the Federal prohibition on operating an unlicensed money transmitting business."

Dear Satoshi, please can they include the phrase “arbitrary and capricious” in their writing, that would make me very happy!!!

Best wishes,
Dugle
I BOUGHT SOMETHING FROM A STREET VENDOR ONE TIME, DOES THAT MAKE US UNLICENSED MONEY TRANSMITTERS? 🤣
 Yes
I trade my farts in a jar for toilet paper 💵 , am I going to be in trouble ?
 🫂🧡
been in touch with Wyden's office
 🫡
 🤙🤙
"..shake confidence the DOJ's respect for the rule of law."

Too late for that.
 And then they fight us...
at least they seem to understand that the scope the doj is going for includes the death of commerce
And the death of the DOJ
Too little too late. Nothing is going to happen until after the election. this is all just a bunch of word salad.

Far too logical and reasonable for a corrupt DOJ to listen
Only loss of legitimacy as an institution will make them listen
Open letter education to DOJ ❤
I've seen a lot of people assuming the letter is meaningless. I disagree. The analysis showing the implications well beyond bitcoin and "crypto" might cause others to sit up and take notice.
Unfortunately Lummis is controlled opposition. Please remember, her bill KYCs all your Bitcoin, tracks and traces every transaction over $200 and moved Bitcoin into the tax realm.
Thank you for saying that! Nothing good comes from the Feds.
Senators clapping back at the DOJ about how bitcoin works
Stoked to see the clearest definition of money transmission yet at the federal level.
"Assets like bitcoin may be natively digital, but they are not amorphous like heat and electricity." Fire.
It’s a nice sentiment. And I’m thankful for people like them.
But the letter is to Merrick Garland, a career criminal and a domestic terrorist, who is unlikely to listen.
