OpenFeature, a community-driven API for feature flagging, has been launched under the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) incubation project. This open specification aims to provide a vendor-agnostic and community-driven solution for managing feature flags. The initiative allows developers to work with their preferred feature flag management tool or in-house solution.

The OpenFeature community welcomes contributions and invites developers to join its Slack channel, mailing lists, and community meetings. Adhering to the CNCF Community Code of Conduct, contributors are expected to follow guidelines for reporting security-related issues.
