How do you think about investing as a bitcoiner? @preston of TIP rejoins me on the show to talk about a range of related ideas:

HODL vs invest in companies
Microstrategy and other public companies
VC and early stage investment
Realistic investment hurdle rates
Technical realities as bitcoin grows

Good listen both. Over here in the backward UK, mstr and the miners are the only real options to get #bitcoin price exposure in tax free saving accounts or self invested pensions. Obvs not the same as the real thing and different risk exposure. Also think you have to time entry and exit points as opposed to DCA. don't want to get stuck with a miner who goes bust! Not financial advice
Investing is fiat thinking. How can you invest when you know the price of everything is wrong? There's only one thing worth buying, and if you think it's "investing" you're ngmi
Investing is not fiat thinking. Investing is part of capitalism. Investing now, instead of consuming, for increased prosperity in the future. Say you invest in Bitcoin focused companies to help along adoption, what is fiat thinking about that?
 +1
Actually, I agree... But only about investing in Bitcoin companies. And I'm not saying investing will always be fiat thinking. Hyperbitcoinization is coming. All prices will reach rational equilibria. But right now, investing is fiat. Thinking Bitcoin is an investment is fiat. That's all I meant.
This is really really good !! Always a good listen when @preston in the hot chair.

This guy has some charm.
