@d6a30e9c See, we do have the best mastodon instance in the universe. (TBMIITU) (R)
@d6a30e9c this video pushed me over the edge. I'm ordering a couple coffee plants.

@9a8f090b the smell of roasting the beans I would prefer to out source... it's like a burnt popcorn smell that is not pleasant to me... I've thought more than once about trying to grow coffee, but have zone constraints to deal with.
@d6a30e9c I saw they have small rotating barrel roasters. I'd probably just roast in the shed. There's a Holly plant that grows in North America and has caffeine. I thought about growing that. It tastes ok but it's tea and just not coffee. The roasted breadnut tastes like coffee but no caffeine so I think I'm just going to make my side yard into a tropical greenhouse and grow coffee. I got a bunch of other tropical plants that need a home. Might do a small pond for humidity
@9a8f090b I want to rent an excavator for a couple of weeks to dig a walipini + pond to cheat my zone reality. If I could the pond would be underground in/next to the walipini so I can use it as temperature regulator/sink and also for some aquaponic efforts I'd like to try again.
That will be different. I usually give money to put something else in the kitty. So I might need help putting money in the kitty.
